Homeowner Tip of the Week- 11/12

This week’s tip is simple yet very important: replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

You should replace the batteries twice per year, and if you’re prone to forgetting, one way to remind yourself is to do it when you change your clocks for daylight savings (which recently happened so today would be a good day to begin that cycle). Once you replace the batteries, be sure to test the detector by holding the test button down to see whether the battery is faulty or not.

Good luck and stay tuned for tips every Tuesday!
