Restoring Janis and Franz's Independence
Janis and Franz have lived in their Wauwatosa home for nearly 30 years. About three years ago, Franz developed ulcers in his legs from his knee to his ankle, and they’re getting progressively worse even with treatment. Franz has lost his ability to independently get in and out of the bathtub which left Janis in a constant state of worry. In addition to Franz’s loss of mobility, Janis has been having a hard time getting in and out of the tub herself due to age and overall decreased mobility.
To keep them safe and independent, we installed a new walk-in shower and grab bars. They are overjoyed with the results and said it’s more than they ever could have wished for. According to Janis, Franz’s mood has already improved due to his regained independence!
In addition to these repairs, Briggs & Stratton has volunteered as a company to mow their lawn this summer! They will send employees over as needed to mow, ensuring Janis and Franz won’t have to worry about tripping over long grass or items hidden in the grass.
