Millie is 81 years old and lives with her daughter, granddaughter, and great granddaughter. After 47 years of marriage, her husband recently passed away and she feels lost without him. Millie and her husband were foster parents for many years and now have a big family.

One day, strong winds ripped her storm door off its frame, leaving the front door as the only protection from the weather and intruders. Because the main door wasn’t very secure, Millie was worried for herself and her family. Because her husband had been the one to take care of these issues, she was unsure of what to do. Her social worker referred her to us, and we quickly installed a new main door and storm door so that she and her family can stay safe and warm in their home.
